Chelsea Manalo on Suitor Cole Micek: We're Taking It Slow

Since I have always been drawn to hoopers, I felt giddy for Chelsea Manalo when her sweet pics and videos with Fil-Am cager, Cole Micek, stirred a buzz online.

As of press time, she is cheering him on as his team, Macau Black Bears, competes in the Asian Tournament in Cebu.

To find out the real score between them, I asked my longtime friend, Louie Heredia, to hook me up with Chelsea who is close to him. Thanks a mil to Louie for making my interview with our Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) 2024 possible.

The beauty queen and the baller have the same initials, CM. Could it be a sign that they have found their match? Chelsea and Cole have the height. As for the depth of their feelings, let's wait and shriek, watch and yearn.

What makes Cole and you click?

"We get along because of the same pace we are in now. We communicate a lot about our work. We have the same energy and passion for what we both do in life. We both love the beach and island life."

How would you describe your relationship with Cole?

"We met in L.A. last December, and now we are getting to know each other more and spending time together while he is in town. He asked to court me and meet my parents already, but we are taking it slow and enjoying the process."

What do you admire about Cole?

"His being a family-oriented person who's respectful, hardworking and kind."

What's the biggest lesson you learned from your MUPH reign?
