President Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte both suffered further declines in their trust ratings in the latest commissioned survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

- JANVIC MATEO

The Jan. 17 to 20 survey, commissioned by Stratbase group, found that 50 percent of the respondents had "much trust" in the President.

In July 2024, trust in Marcos was at 64 percent. It went down to 57 percent in September and 54 percent in December.

Those who had little trust in Marcos slightly increased to 26 percent, from 21 percent in July to 25 percent in both the September and December 2024 surveys.

Those who were undecided increased to 22 percent, from 14 percent in July, 17 percent in September and 19 percent in December.

Across areas, trust in Marcos remained the highest in his bailiwick balance Luzon at 60 percent (from 66 percent in December), followed by those in Metro Manila at 52 percent (same as in the previous survey), 44 percent in the Visayas (from 54 percent) and 37 percent in Mindanao (from 33 percent).
