Let's face it—dads today do more than just mow the lawn and teach the kids how to ride a bike.

As the Chief Technology Officer at home, dads have a big say in keeping the home cool and comfortable with smarter appliances

These days, many of them—like me—double as the unofficial CTO of the household: Chief Technology Officer. From managing Wi-Fi dead zones, managing the smart appliances, to making the call on that air conditioning upgrade, I've become accustomed to my role of managing the seemingly "invisible" things at home but have an impact on everyone's quality of life.

So this Father's Day, I'm putting the spotlight on tech-savvy dads who want their homes to run smoother, smarter, and cooler. Whether he's optimizing the family's energy consumption, making sure the bedrooms are chill (literally), or managing appliances with a few taps on his phone, we've got the perfect gear to match every "dad tech type."

And who better to partner with on this mission than Midea, the World's No. 1 Smart Home Appliances Brand and the global leader in residential inverter air conditioners?

I've decided to name the different dad archetypes that many of my fellow dads have grown into (including me!)

1. The Efficiency Dad: Always Looking for the Best Watt-per-Peso Ratio This dad knows the Meralco bill by heart. He's all about energy efficiency, automated timers, and appliances that don't bleed electricity when idle. When the bill goes up by just P300, he tries to figure out if certain appliances were left on by accident that month.

What a sleuth!
