BEFORE THE SCREENING OF “ΜΙΝΑMAHAL: 100 BULAKLAK PARA KAY LUNA” BEGAN, director and writer Jason Paul “JP” Laxamana gave a lighthearted “warning” to the moviegoers: expect squeals of kilig throughout the movie.

“Feeling ko every five minutes, nagtitilian yung mga tao. Baka hindi maintindihan yung kwento pero OK lang at least they would watch it a couple of times. Promise, feeling ko talaga talagang tilian,” direk JP told the attendees at the red-carpet premiere night of the romance drama flick, held recently at SM Megamall Cinema.

“While we were still editing the film, even my video editors couldn't contain their squeals. ‘Magtitilian mga tao dito,’ they said.”

Andres Muhlach was wearing a gray suit, white polo and black tie, while Ashtine Olviga dazzled in a yellow gown during the premiere night of their big-screen debut “Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna,” following their breakout hit, “Ang Mutya Ng Section E,” a Viva One series.

Despite that gloomy weather that night, the fans trooped to the venue and they were rewarded as Andres and Ashtine successfully delivered a wave of heart-fluttering scenes in the film that made them feel giddy from start to finish.

Andres’ parents, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, and his sister Atasha also came to the event to show their support for him.

“Minamahal” follows a lonely high school flower enthusiast, Raffy (Andres), who spends years trying to win over a jaded visual artist, Luna (Ashtine), by giving her flowers at significant times in her life.

What starts as a sweet, high school crush blossoms into a heartfelt and complicated relationship that spans into college — where love is tested by the realities of growing up.
