A Community's Journey to Reliable Supply in North Caloocan

For longtime resident Geronimo Susano, daily life in Miramonte Park Subdivision, Barangay 180, North Caloocan is now noticeably easier.

After more than a decade of living with limited water availability, he still remembers the early days when the supply struggled to reach their elevated community. Their taps only ran between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m., forcing some households to fetch water from a well just to get through the day.

Assessment later showed that the subdivision was being served by aging pipelines laid around the late 1990s to early 2000s, many of which had not yet been replaced. Over time, the system became prone to leaks, weak pressure, and unreliable supply. In response, Maynilad implemented a 6.5-kilometer Partial Pipe Replacement Project along Miramonte Park to enhance service reliability for over 2,100 households.
