4,784 Marikina Families Evacuated

Over 4,700 families were evacuated in Marikina due to heavy rains induced by the southwest monsoon on Tuesday night.

Mayor Marjorie Ann Teodoro said 4,784 families or 23,576 people sought shelter in evacuation centers after the Marikina River's water level reached the third alarm at 10:08 p.m.
The river's level peaked at 18.7 meters at 1 a.m. yesterday, according to the city public information office. It went down to 15.9 meters at 11:51 a.m.
