Workshop on 'Environmental analysis using R' begins

The Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu, on Monday inaugurated a five-day workshop on “Environmental Analysis Using R”, scheduled from February 2 to 6, 2026, aimed at strengthening data-driven environmental research and analytical skills among scholars and faculty.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai, the Chief Guest, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research and capacity-building initiatives to foster a vibrant academic ecosystem. He lauded the department for organizing the workshop to enhance research quality and transparency in areas such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable resource management.
