The Office of Dean International Affairs, Cen-tral University of Kashmir (CUK), marked a significant academic milestone by hosting its first offline international workshop on “Dialogic Consciousness in Western Philosophy,” focusing on the influential ideas of Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin.
In her welcome address, Prof. Sandhya Tiwari, the event convener, highlighted the relevance of Bakhtin-ian concepts like the carnivalesque and polyphony in shaping critical thinking, especially within literary and philosophical studies. She emphasized the workshop’s intent to prepare students for national-level exams and enhance academic engagement.
