Massive ₹2L cr outlay for jobs, skilling

FINANCE Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced an outlay of ₹2 lakh crore for five schemes and initiatives that will facilitate employment and skilling opportunities for ₹4.1 crore youth over five years.
She said three schemes for 'employment-linked incentive' will be implemented. About 23,000 crore has been allocated for Scheme A (first-timers) that will benefit 2.10 crore youth and one-month wage of maximum ₹15,000 as subsidy will be provided. Under Scheme B, which is bulk hiring of first-timers in manufacturing, about ₹52,000 crore has been allocated that will benefit ₹30 lakh people. Scheme C, which is job creation, with an outlay of ₹32,000 crore will benefit 50 lakh people.
