Discusses mutual interest on the sidelines of 79th Session of UNGA
EXTERNAL Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has met Bangladesh's Foreign Affairs adviser Md Touhid Hossain in New York and discussed bilateral ties.
The meeting between Jaishankar and his Bangladeshi counterpart on Monday evening came on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. This was the External Affairs Minister's first meeting with his Bangladeshi counterpart after an interim government led by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus Khan took charge following the ouster of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's Awami League regime.
