CONGRESS ASKS RAHUL TO BE LEADER OF OPPOSITION IN LS

THE Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday passed a resolution requesting former party president Rahul Gandhi to take up the post of the Leader of Opposition (LOP) in the Lok Sabha. "Rahul Gandhi said he would take a decision very soon," said AICC general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal.
The Congress party did not have the requisite seats to claim the post of LoP in 2014 and 2019.
To claim the post, a party should have at least 10 percent of the membership of the Lok Sabha.
