2.5 Acres to Be Acquired in Marudhamalai to Install Muruga Statue

The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department has planned to acquire 2.5 acres in the Marudhamalai foothills to install a 184-foot-tall statue of Lord Muruga, said officials.
The Tamil Nadu government is developing the world's tallest statue of Lord Muruga at the Subramaniaswamy temple in Marudhamalai in Coimbatore district. The project aims to boost spiritual tourism.
