Rtd steel plant staff submit memo seeking prompt release of pensions

PENSIONERS of the Vizag Steel Plant (VSP) met Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II (RPFC) Pawan Kumar Jasti on Thursday and submitted a memorandum urging the immediate release of higher pension orders, which have been pending for the past 14 months.
The issue stems from a Supreme Court judgment that entitled EPS pensioners to receive pensions based on their actual salary at the time of retirement, provided they remit arrear contributions for the eligible period of their service.
