Pancha Gramalu issue: Govt to allot 610 acres to temple

THE State government has decided to hand over 610 acres of land of the same registration value in lieu of 420 acres of land in Simhachalam Devasthanam land that is under encroachment (Pancha Gramalu) as part of regularising those lands, where 12,149 houses were constructed.
Disclosing this to mediapersons on Wednesday after a review meeting with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the long pending Pancha Gramalu issue, Minister for Revenue Anagani Satyaprasad said the value of the land to be given is estimated to be ₹5,300 crore and is located in Peddagantyada and Gajuwaka. The land will be suitable for cultivating sandalwood trees, as required by Simhachalam temple.
