Initiative, aims to ensure public safety, targets 1,36,000 stray dogs across Visakhapatnam
UNDER the initiative of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), an anti-rabies vaccination drive is targeting 1,36,000 stray dogs across Visakhapatnam city.
This initiative aims to curb the spread of rabies and ensure public safety in the city. Speaking to TNIE, GVMC Chief Medical Officer Dr ENV Naresh Kumar emphasised that vaccinating stray dogs every six months is necessary to prevent rabies outbreaks.
