GST Revenue Posts Single-Digit Growth in FY25

THE GST revenue growth in 2024-25 failed to cross the double-digit mark as net collections grew by 8.6% to ₹19.56 lakh crore compared to ₹18.01 lakh crore in the previous financial year.
The gross revenue during the year increased by 9.4% to ₹22.08 lakh crore.
In March, gross GST revenue rose by 9.9% to ₹1.96 lakh crore compared to ₹1.78 lakh crore. The net GST collection (after deducting refunds) rose by 7.3% to ₹1.76 lakh crore during the month. Refunds during the month grew by 41% to ₹19,615 crore. Year-on-year refunds grew by 25% to ₹2.53 lakh crore.
