Modi Chief Guest Of National Day During 2-Day Mauritius Trip

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi will be the Guest of Honour at the 57th National Day celebrations of Mauritius, the Western Indian Ocean region with a population of 70% Indian origin people.
He will be in Mauritius on March 11 and 12.
In a speech to Parliament, Mauritian PM Navin Ramgoolam said, "I am delighted to announce that, at my invitation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has graciously agreed to be the Guest of Honour for our National Day celebrations. It is indeed a great privilege for Mauritius to host such an esteemed leader, especially given his packed schedule and recent trips to Paris and the United States."
Ramgoolam further said that Modi's visit highlights India and Mauritius's strong and lasting bond.
