Finance ministry flags unclaimed fund issue; directs faster refunds

INCREASING unclaimed funds of depositors, equity investors and insurance policy holders, and difficulty of claiming these funds by investors has forced finance ministry to take note of the issue.
On Tuesday, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman urged the regulators and departments to expedite process of refund to owners of unclaimed amounts by holding special district-level camps.
