Deer falls into Vellore well, rescued in time

A spotted deer that accidentally fell into a well on agricultural land at Ilavampadi Panchayat in Anaicut was rescued without any injuries after forest department officials and fire and rescue personnel from Vellore responded on time.
According to Vellore Forest Ranger Officer AS Dharani, the deer from the nearby forest was grazing in the agricultural fields of Kudisi village in the Ilavampadi Panchayat when it fell into the 50-feet-deep well. Farmers working nearby quickly alerted the authorities. A team of 17 personnel from both departments arrived at the spot from Vellore, covering the 15-km distance in time.
