BJP blames TG for water row, backs TTD action
The New Indian Express Tirupati
|July 24, 2025
BJP State Vice-President Vishnu Vardhan Reddy on Wednesday accused the Telangana government of deliberately stoking disputes over Andhra Pradesh's water rights.
He said Telangana was misusing water from unauthorized projects and attempting to divert flows meant for the sea.
At a press conference held at Parinaya Function Hall, the BJP leader called Telangana's objections to pending Andhra Pradesh projects like Banakacharla "shameful." "If Andhra Pradesh were to send similar letters, not a single project in Telangana would have seen the light of day," he remarked.
