KAMAKSHI, the widow of Somisetty Madhusudhan Rao who was killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the Indian armed forces' precision strikes under 'Operation Sindoor'. Describing the operation as "symbolic revenge," she said it offered a measure of solace to grieving families.
Speaking from her home in Kavali, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday, Kamakshi said the operation's name — 'Sindoor' — resonated deeply with the widows of the 27 victims. "We were innocent, but the terrorists saw Modi in us. Now, Modi has seen us in himself and avenged the attack," she said through tears.
