SL Arrests 7 TN Fishermen for IMBL Violation, Seizes Mechanized Vessel

The Sri Lankan navy arrested seven Indian fishermen and seized a mechanized fishing vessel for allegedly violating the International Maritime Boundary Line around 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The fishermen, later produced before a court in Jaffna, have been remanded till July 25.
The arrested fishermen have been identified as M Jegathesan, M Sakthivel, F Talvin Raj, A Shanmugam, P Doother, P Edison, and N Anbalagan—all hailing from Rameswaram and Thangachimadam areas in Ramanathapuram.
According to official sources, the seized mechanized vessel belongs to Issac Paul of Thangachimadam.
