Oppn cries kickbacks, asks Fadnavis to act against Shiv Sena leader; Shirsat says clip a plot
SANJAY Shirsat, Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice from the Shiv Sena headed by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, is once again in the dock after his half-naked video surfaced on social media, showing a bag of cash lying near his bed.
The Opposition demanded Shirsat's resignation, saying it was not the first time he had been caught red-handed. NCP-SP spokesperson Clyde Crasto asked if, after the video surfaced, Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis would have the courage to act against the alleged corrupt minister who got cash as kickbacks. No wonder the Shinde party MLA got the tag, "50 Kokhe, Sab Kuch Okay," he remarked.
Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut was the first to share a video on Friday, purportedly showing Shirsat in possession of a large bag full of cash at his home.
