2 teams to check issue of illegal transit pass to quarry operators

FOLLOWING the revelation of the issue of illegal transit passes to stone quarry operators in Tirunelveli district, commissioner of geology and mining E Saravanavelraj recently constituted two teams to ascertain the excess issue of transit passes against the surrender of dispatch slips, and to determine the financial loss to the exchequer.
One of the two teams of officials is made of regional joint director K V Sumathi, S Suradha (assistant director) and V Nithiya (assistant geologist), while the other includes regional joint director L Sattanathan Sankar, M Bhuvaneshwari (assistant director) and S Ramprasath
