The Thanjavur unit of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) of Tamil Nadu police has prepared a final report that runs for more than 10,000 pages in the case relating to an alleged scam in the appointment of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and non-teaching staff to the Tamil University, Thanjavur during 2017 and 2018.
This was disclosed in the order issued by the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court while disposing of writ petitions that sought inquiry into the irregularities. In its order dated July 7, a Division Bench comprising Justice S M Subramaniam and Justice A D Maria Clete said Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) had submitted that a criminal case has been registered by DVAC and that investigation has been completed.
