Railways sets stage for Maha Kumbh

THE Indian Railways has made elaborate preparations for the Maha Kumbh, anticipating a massive turnout of nearly 40 crore people at Prayagraj and connecting routes.
Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has inaugurated several key initiatives to enhance Indian Railways' readiness for the mega event. On Sunday, Vaishnaw said all arrangements are in place to ensure safe, seamless, and technologically advanced services for millions of pilgrims.
"The railway has invested about ₹5,000 crore in developing infrastructure for the Maha Kumbh 2025 which include doubling of rail lines, building new platforms and developing high-quality platforms and others", the minister told media.
