Drug lord accused of killing Moosewala shifted to Silchar jail

GANGSTER-DRUG LORD Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, also accused in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, was on Sunday shifted to the Silchar jail in Assam from the Central Jail at Bathinda after he was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) under the stringent anti-narcotics law.
He is the first Punjab gangster to be detained under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act, officials said.
