Venugopal accuses BJP, LDF of bid to create polarization among people

Congress general secretary K C Venugopal on Sunday criticised the LDF-led state government and the BJP-led Union government, alleging that both parties are attempting to create polarization among the people.
He was speaking after inaugurating the leadership meeting of the District Congress Committee at the Indoor Stadium in Thrissur, which saw huge participation from Congress workers from the ward level to district level.
"Congress has faced some setbacks in the district. However, it is time we overcome it and embrace victory. Thrissur has always been a strength of the Congress and will continue to be so," he said.
"For the past 11 years, we have been the opposition party. While Congress has always adhered to democratic values, those governing the country will go to any extent to remain in power," Venugopal added.
