Shahana lured Rahees to ladies' hostel
THE abduction of a youth from Nadakkavu took a dramatic turn on Saturday as police revealed the motive to be an alleged multi-lakh rupee iPhone fraud perpetrated by the victim. The Nadakkavu police have arrested a nine-member gang, including a close female friend of the victim who allegedly orchestrated a 'honey trap' to facilitate the kidnapping. The victim, identified as Muhammed Rahees, a native of Padinjarathara in Wayanad, was forcefully abducted from outside a women's hostel at Nadakkavu in the early hours of Friday. However, within hours, a swift police operation led to his rescue from Kakkadampoyil and the arrest of all involved.
