Party believes individuals, organisations are instigating protesters with sinister intentions

THE CPM has decided to adopt political measures to counter the ongoing protest by ASHA workers in the state. The party's state secretariat, which discussed the issue on Thursday, is of the view that individuals and organisations are instigating the protesters with sinister intentions.

The party will organise mass campaigns where leaders will explain issues facing scheme workers, like ASHAs, provide factual details, including honorarium in other states, and highlight the Union government's failure in hiking incentives.

Trade unions such as INTUC, CITU, AITUC, and BMS have distanced themselves from the ongoing protest by a minority section of ASHA workers," a state secretariat member told TNIE.
