'No nod to Army for gun deployment at Golden Temple'

THE Sikh Gurdwara Parbhandhark Committee (SGPC) on Tuesday dismissed as "shockingly untrue" a claim by the army air defence that air defence guns were deployed at the Golden Temple in Amritsar to neutralise aerial threats from Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
Lieutenant General Sumer Ivan D'Cunha, Director General of Army Air Defence, claimed in an interview with a news channel that "it was very nice that the head granthi of the Golden Temple allowed us to deploy our guns".
