Wife of TMC officer seeks fair probe into her husband's death who died in judicial custody

THE wife of deceased chief officer of Hosadurga Town Municipal Council G V Thimmaraju, Kavya demanded a probe into the incident of the Lokayukta trap and subsequent death of her husband while he was at Chitradurga jail in judicial custody.

Kavya, who was grieving the death of her husband, said her husband G V Thimmaraju was falsely implicated and later trapped by Lokayukta sleuths. She said that her husband, who had received the Rajyotsava award for the best employee, was returning money to the person who had given it to him and it was at this point the Lokayukta sleuths trapped him, she added. "My husband, Thimmaraju, who was known as an excellent officer after winning Rajyotsava and Sarvottam awards, was constantly harassed by some municipal council members," she alleged.
