S'mogga gears up for Hindu Mahasabha Ganapathi immersion procession today

ON the eve of Hindu Mahasabha Ganapathi immersion procession, the main streets in which the procession passes through was decorated with saffron buntings and festive mood gripped the city.

Shivamogga: Hindu Mahasabha Ganapathi installed on the premises of Sri Bheemeshwara Temple of Kote Road has a history of several decades. Hindu Kesari Alankara samiti has decorated the entire procession route and prominent circles of the city. The Gandhi Bazaar entrance considered as Main Entry point (Mahadwara) was decorated with a mythological sequence of 'Samundra Manthana' - the churning of the Ocean milk for Amrutha by both Devas (Gods) and Asuras (Demons) attracting people to have a look. On the entry into the city, the MRS circle on B H Road, is decorated with saffron buntings with a statue of Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaja and Lord Rama. Entry f
