SHARAVATHI Nadi Kanive Ulisi Horata Okkuta is holding a protest opposing Sharavathi Pumped Storage project and Sharavathi River Diversion project. During the protest, the long-pending demand to cancel both the projects permanently, which are 'unscientific', will be placed before the government.
A protest meeting will be held at Gopi Circle and later a memorandum will be submitted to the deputy commissioner at 11 am on March 19, said Akhilesh Chipli, environmentalist.
