Hindu Maha Ganapathi Festivities to Begin in Chitradurga on August 27

18-day long Hindu Maha Ganapathi festivities are going to be held in the city from August 27 to September 13 and hotelier Sharan Kumar will be leading a team representing the Ganeshotsava committee, said provincial secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishat Sharan Pumpwell here recently.
Addressing a press conference in the city, he said that Vishwa Hindu Parishat is organizing the festival in a more responsible manner than earlier attempts.
The Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav, which was organized first in 1863 by renowned freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak, has been uniting people till today. Since then, the Ganesha festival has been celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor in the country.
