AMBEDKAR played a vital role in drafting the world's best constitution. He fought for equality throughout his journey and strived hard to eradicate untouchability. Everyone should unite together and lead life based on the ideologies preached by Ambedkar irrespective of political parties, caste, religion and others, said School Education, Literacy and District Minister Madhu S Bangarappa.

He inaugurated the 134th birth anniversary programme of Dr B R Ambedkar jointly organised by district administration, zilla panchayat, social welfare department, city corporation, Kannada and Culture department and others at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Monday and said that Ambedkar has shown that the real power comes from organisation. Initially the British didn't have enough power to rule, so they opted to divide and rule in the nation. Ambedkar has shown people the power of unity by uniting people from all walks of life together, he added.
