PSI Gadilingappa, Madhugiri district BJP president Hanumanthegowda entered into a slapping battle in early morning
PSI of Chitradurga city police station Gadilingappa and Madhugiri district BJP president Hanumanthegowda locked horns at 12 am in front of a hotel near the RTO office on Sunday, raising questions about the law and order situation in the state. It was a war of words in the beginning and later followed a physical fight.
Eyewitness said: "PSI Gadilingappa was on his patrolling duty and found a group of people standing in front of a hotel in the midnight and enquired why they were standing and the cop was speaking in singular. It was at this time Hanumanthegowda said he is the president of Madhugiri district BJP unit and informed the police to speak properly. During that time, the altercation started and both exchanged blows. Hanumanthegowda went ahead and also used foul language against the PSI."
Gadilingappa alleged that the BJP leader had disrupted him from discharging his duties when he was patrolling the city.
