I-T Raids 18 Locations Linked to Ex-Minister Naba Das' Kin

The Income Tax department on Thursday raided 18 locations linked to the family members of former minister and BJD leader Naba Kishore Das, who was shot dead by an on-duty police officer on January 29, 2023, over allegations of tax evasion.

Sources in the I-T department said searches were primarily conducted on the property of Naba's brother Braja Kishore Das who owns BKD Infrastructure private limited, a company having an average annual turnover of ₹250 crore. "Searches were conducted at the house and hotel of Naba's family members in Sambalpur. This apart, their houses in Jharsuguda, Bhubaneswar and New Delhi were also raided," they added.
