Protest held in Hassan against 'false allegations' regarding mass burial in Dharmastala

Alleging that false information is being circulated about Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, activists of the Hindu Punyashehtragala Samrakshana Samiti (Hindu Shrines Protection Committee) launched a signature campaign on Monday, urging the government to take action against such social media activities.

The committee president MK Prem Kumar said certain social media platforms were engaging in a 'hit-and-run' campaign by spreading baseless allegations against Dharmasthala.

"For over a decade, multiple investigations have been carried out into the Sowjanya death case. Yet, some media outlets continue to fabricate new allegations and spread false information, hurting the sentiments of devotees. We believe SDPI is working behind the scenes in this matter," he alleged.
