ISRO to bring SpaDex satellites closer today to enable docking

THE feat of docking two satellites in Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Space Docking Experiment (SpaDex) mission is set to get a boost on Saturday after the scheduled January 7 docking was postponed twice as the drift between the two satellites was found to be more than expected.
ISRO took to social media platform X on Friday evening, saying: "Spacecraft are at a distance of 1.5 km and on hold mode. Further drift to 500 metres is planned to be achieved by tomorrow (Saturday) morning."
ISRO, however, did not specify when the docking would happen.
The much-awaited docking under the SpaDex mission was postponed first on January 7 and then on January 9.
