Aadhaar pilot test was done in Mysuru

AADHAAR founder CTO Srikanth Nadhamuni said the first pilot test of Aadhaar was held in Mysuru where residents were made to link their Aadhaar numbers to receive LPG cylinders.
Speaking during the third edition of Illuminate jointly organised by L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) at KSOU convocation hall on Saturday, Nadhamuni while talking on how the Aadhaar led to the various digital public infra and how the various DPIs like UPI, DigiLocker and others transformed the country, said Aadhaar has helped the country save over ₹8,500 crore by preventing leakage.
