Udupi CMC to Install CCTV Cameras at City's Key Junctions

A few months ago, a two-wheeler and a four-wheeler collided near Kalsanka, one of the key junctions in the city.

After the parties involved reached out to Udupi traffic police to file a complaint, the cops struggled to reconstruct the sequence of the event. They then said that the absence of functional CCTV cameras hampered their investigation into the accident, and they could not do much. In the past too, similar kinds of helplessness were expressed by the traffic police in official meetings due to the absence of CCTV cameras at key junctions in the city.
