RDPR Minister Priyank Kharge on Saturday challenged BJP leaders to raise their voice against injustice meted out to Kannadigas by the Central government by releasing insufficient funds even for the Centrally-sponsored schemes which are funded by the Centre and states combined.

Speaking to media persons at Adyar near Mangaluru, Priyank said: "The BJP is alleging that the state government has no money for guarantees and the upcoming budget. They are making such statements because they are jobless. They need to answer how much money the Centre is releasing for centrally-sponsored schemes. Our state government is giving money for their schemes. For example, the Centre is supposed to give its share of ₹3,600 crore for Jal Jeevan Mission but gave only ₹517 crore. But the Centre has failed to give its full share, hence the state government has given ₹2,900 crore, so that a drinking water project is not halted. Only the name of the project is theirs but money is ours," he criticised.
