Senior officials to address cellphone jammer issue near dist jail, says Ivan

MLC Ivan D'Souza on Thursday said Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara has directed senior officials from the Prisons Department to visit Mangaluru to address complaints regarding mobile signal jammers installed at the district jail.
D'Souza told reporters that the signal jammers, while intended to block unauthorised mobile communication within the jail, have been disrupting mobile networks in surrounding areas of the city. The issue has triggered numerous public grievances, prompting intervention from the home minister.
