A fresh complaint has been filed with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the alleged mass burial case, by a person claiming that his sister went missing in 2012 and is yet to be traced.
The complainant named Nithin Devadiga, speaking to reporters outside the SIT office said that his sister Hemalatha is missing since 2012. "Poonjalakatte police had filed a case but out of two persons including my sister, only one returned home. My sister and another person went to Dharmasthala temple but she did not return. We met SIT and are hopeful of getting justice. She was a beedi roller. We had lodged a complaint with police in 2012 and they said they will respond if they find her, but even after many years we could not trace her. We will know when the person who took my sister to Dharmasthala is questioned by the police. That person is a neighbour. We suspect that person only," he said.
