Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express May Face Cancellation Due to Low Patronage
UDUPI-Chikkamagalur MP Kota Srinivas Poojary has written a letter to Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, urging him to extend Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express to Mumbai.
He wrote the letter, amid growing concern that Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express train may face cancellation due to low patronage. He explained to the minister that Mangaluru and Udupi are prominent educational, tourism and religious hubs of India's west coast and there is a requirement of premium train services like Vande Bharat Express here.
The diverse commuter base between Mangaluru and Mumbai would ensure substantial patronage, he stated.
