IN a moving gesture of interreligious harmony, people from different faiths and denominations gathered in Mangaluru to pay tribute to late Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church.
The condolence meeting, held on Friday at Milagres Church Open Grounds, Hampankatta, was organised under the Diocese of Mangalore.
Solemn Requiem Mass was followed by the interfaith condolence meeting presided over by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore, in the presence of Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese. Many priests, nuns and lay faithful participated in the Holy Eucharistic, and prayed for the departed soul of Pope Francis.
