Every school must organise 'Model Children's Parliament', says MP

Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta on Saturday said that to make children aware about Parliamentary procedures in a democracy, every educational institution must conduct 'Model Children's Parliament.
Addressing on the occasion of 'We the People', a Children's Model Parliament organised by Centre for Integrated Learning, SDM School, Ashoknagar in association with Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), MP said, "When I was a student, every school used to conduct Model Parliament programmes, but most of the institutions have stopped it. It must be conducted in every institution. Parliament exists for the people in a democracy, and hence, people have the right to elect their representatives.
