Adopt TN model for autorickshaws in Mangaluru, says MLA

MANGALURU City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath has urged the government to implement the Tamil Nadu model to resolve the auto drivers' issue in Mangaluru.
Raising the issue during the ongoing Assembly session, he said that he raised this issue in the past three assembly sessions, and also wrote to the transport minister, but no action was taken. "As a result, nearly 10,000 autorickshaw drivers are facing difficulties. At least in this session, if the government implements the Tamil Nadu model, which all rickshaw drivers are demanding, the confusion and conflict among drivers will be reduced significantly," he said.
