Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that he will allocate Rs 3 crore each for upgrading the sports stadiums in Mangaluru and Udupi in the upcoming budget.
CHIEF Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that he will allocate Rs 3 crore each for upgrading the sports stadiums in Mangaluru and Udupi in the upcoming budget. Inaugurating the State Games 2025 organised by the Department of Youth and Sports at Mangala stadium in Mangaluru on Friday, CM Siddaramaiah said, "I will provide financial support however much the sports persons, coaches and Sports department seek, but the sports persons must ensure they win medals at the Olympics. Athletes cannot excel unless they receive ample opportunities and support. Our government is committed to support the sportspersons participating in state, national and international levels. We will discuss in the next cabinet meeting about giving attendance and other concessions.
